WHAT DOES YHVH SAY ABOUT THE FEAST CALENDAR? Zadok, Sighted, Other?

I awoke this morning with a message but it wasn’t about The Battle of Ai. My feet had barely touched the floor when I got the word from YHVH that I must enter the fray over the calendar issue instead of teaching The Battle of Ai. When He gives us something to say, we must say it or be punished like Jonah was.

The Feast calendar has been an issue in Hebrew Roots for many years. It became an issue because there is such lack of identity with 12-tribed Biblical Israel (Yeshua’s Israel over which He is King), lack of love between brethren and lack of unity within our fellowships and between fellowships. In searching for unity, teachers and leaders of the Hebrew Roots movement say they are trying to establish a unifying calendar. Of course, the disagree on which of the two most popular ones are correct. As in everything man does, there is a desire for status, power and money. They refuse the unifying calendar YHVH already gave us in favor of using this issue to also create for themselves a niche under which people will become their disciples. Instead of pointing to YHVH and His instructions, these teachers and leaders now point to themselves.

We have much false doctrine and disunity within the Hebrew Roots movement. This makes the unneeded calendar controversy a place to put our energies instead repenting for our sins which would instantly create brotherhood among us.

Also, the calendar issue is a way to avoid anything from Judaism even though many of our people still practice Jewish traditions and incorporate Jewish commentary into our Torah Portion studies and end up converting to Judaism. Using the calendar to separate us from Judaism is the wrong way because using the wrong calendar is itself sin. But Yeshua did not tell us to make up our own rules to separate ourselves from the Jews. He told us to avoid the leaven, false doctrines, of the Pharisees and to do as Moses said when they sit in his seat reading from his Torah.

So when they reach the scriptures in the Torah Portions that plainly say the line of Aaron will be in charge of everything having to do with the Tabernacle/Temple, including overseeing all the Feast days, the various tithing times, the sacrifices, etc., our Hebrew Roots teachers and leaders separate the calendar YHVH gave Aaron from everything else. Doing so causes them to usurp Aaron’s authority and changes when the line of Aaron says we will show up in Jerusalem for the Feasts.

Many believe the movement can become united if we could just get the calendar right. That’s dirty rags, folks! That’s man’s religious doctrine, not YHVH’s righteousness which comes from obedience to His Law.

This will not be resolved until our King arrives to take His throne. We must go through this Tribulation. The House of Jacob must be punished (judgement begins first in the House of YHVH) and, the world also, because all sin must come to an end. The earth will most likely endure a change in its revolution around the sun and the moon may change in its rotation around the earth. If this happens, it will result in a calendar reset when Yeshua comes.

There will be 5 months of darkness all over the earth at the end of the Tribulation. No one will know what day it is. Even if the earth and moon positions, 5 months of darkness will end the debate over calendars. Also ended will be Jacob’s rejection of YHVH and His Law. The Millennium will bring a restored and reunited 12-tribed fully obedient Israel with one calendar overseen by one tribe, to rule over the Feasts once again. It will be the same tribe that YHVH gave calendar authority to when Israel became a nation at Mount Sinai. That tribe, the Aaronic line from Levi, will oversee YHVH’s Feasts forever, according to YHVH’s own word.

The Jewish calendar is not the problem. The problem among us is our sins the first of which is the teachers and leaders do not go to YHVH’s appointed city for His Feasts.

Isaiah 33:20  Look at Zion, the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tent that won’t be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken. 

Had they been doing this, the calendar controversy would not be happening.  If our teachers and leaders would teach people to go to Jerusalem, His appointed city for the Feasts, we would begin to see unity and brotherhood between us. They may say with their words that the Feasts must be kept in Jerusalem but with their actions they lead people to worship wherever they want, not where YHVH wants.

Isaiah 29:13  The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
Isa 29:14  therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.” 
Isa 29:15  Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?” 
Isa 29:16  You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding?” 

Being identified with YHVH’s capital, the capital of His Kingdom on earth because we have made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem 3 times a year, would change our perspective, but most of our teachers and leaders refuse to lead people to Jerusalem by example to teach them this is the appointed place for worship of Him at His Feasts.

In the last prophecy before Sennacharib took the northern House of Israel into exile, Isaiah wrote Isaiah 33:20 about Jerusalem being the appointed place for the Feasts. He made one last call which could have saved the northern House which was what? Get new calendar? They already had an apostate calendar which had been created by their first king, Jeroboam.

Did Isaiah ask someone from the northern House to calculate and correct the line of Zadok, the descendants of Aaron, on the calendar?

No. Isaiah pleaded with all of the people, all 12 tribes, to reunite at YHVH’s appointed Feasts in YHVH’s appointed city. The calendar issue and Jerusalem are intertwined issues. The northern House ignored Isaiah and did not return to Jerusalem. They went through tribulation under Sennacharib. This generation will suffer Tribulation for rejecting Jerusalem, the line of Aaron, love toward each other and a host of other sins being committed by our people!

Two things go unnoticed when we attend the Feasts in Jerusalem. These two things are just things that we can take for granted. They are 1) we are all on the same calendar and 2) we are united in our worship, all doing the same things at the same time before YHVH’s eyes and heart which are always in Jerusalem (1 Kings 9:3, 2Chronicles 7:16). His instruction is for us to do His Feasts in His appointed place – Jerusalem – where His eyes can see us and His heart can know us, which can only happen if we are on the same calendar. (Albeit that there are some who worship in Jerusalem on different calendars now).

A third effect of worshiping in Jerusalem is that the Feasts become like a family a reunion. Again, this is something not written in scripture yet it is an effect of doing the Feasts in Jerusalem at the time appointed by those in charge, those from the line of Aaron.

We need these times of renewal not only to YHVH 3 times a year but also with each other 3 times a year. Even if we do not personally know the majority of people present at the Feasts, we will have a sense of identity with Biblical Israel that can be had no other way. The level of our patriotism for our nation, Biblical Israel (not to be confused with the current STATE of Israel) will rise to new heights.

At those times when we have gone to the Wall to hear the High Priest (yes, there is a High Priest in Israel and yes, he is from the line of Aaron. I will tell you more about that in a minute), chant the Aaronic blessing, it is impossible to not feel unity with the people from the other 4 tribes who surround us at the Wall. Hearing that blessing gives me a sense of patriotism about Israel, not the current STATE of Israel, but Yeshua’s 12-tribed Israel. This patriotism is what we need now as we move into the 7^th Millennium. We don’t need different calendars. We need to do what YHVH said and go where He said to go, and the only way we can do that is for us to let the line of Aaron have control of the Feasts, as they are called to do in the Torah. YHVH did not give us a say in the matter.

We have teachers and leaders in the Hebrew Roots movement who continue leading YHVH’s people astray as they worship on their own “high places” which are not even inside the borders of the land. Rather, they continue doing what the kings of Judah allowed YHVH’s people to do from the time the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant: Worship wherever they want! Until Babylon carted them away for that and other reasons.

The various calendars now being followed have only two outcomes: They keep us quarrelling and teach us to disobey the authority He put in place with the line of Aaron. While these teachers and leaders cause YHVH’s people to go astray, they, themselves, are usurping the line of Aaron’s authority over the calendar. They are like Korah but with one difference. The difference is that they have gotten further in their usurpation than Korah who was killed by YHVH for trying to usurp Aaron’s authority. YHVH has yet to start killing these end times Korahs for their usurpation but He will unless they repent of all the treason they are committing against Him!

A common objection to following the Hillel II/Jewish/Hebrew calendar is that we don’t know who is from the line of Aaron and who is not in our day. I told you I would tell you how we know who the line of Aaron is. It turns out that geneticists discovered in the late 1990s a unique genetic marker that goes all the way back to only one man – Aaron. Look up the R1a-Y2619 gene. But it doesn’t matter, anyway. I will explain why a little later on, too.

The other dislike of the Hillel IIJewish/Hebrew calendar is that it is a calculated, not sighted moon, calendar. The calendar was calculated when the Sanhedrin of Hillel II’s days authorized him to calculate the calendar which was then published and came into use in 359 AD.

Hillel II is widely regarded among Hebrew Roots adherents as an outsider who was hired to calculate the calendar. Not so. Hillel II was the president of the Sanhedrin and claimed to be from the line of David. Whether he was or not is irrelevant. He was not a Levite or from the line of Aaron but the Sanhedrin ruled that he should calculate the current calendar because the Jews were widely scattered in the diaspora since 70AD and there were priests from the line of Aaron in the Sanhedrin. Only a remnant remained in Israel and these, too (including the Sanhedrin), would soon be scattered out of Israel by the Romans before the fall of Rome in 476AD.

Deu 17:8  If there arises a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates; then you shall arise, and go up to the place which Yahweh your God chooses. 
Deu 17:9  You shall come to the priests who are Levites, and to the judge who shall be in those days. You shall inquire, and they shall give you the verdict. 
Deu 17:10  You shall do according to the decisions of the verdict which they shall give you from that place which Yahweh chooses. You shall observe to do according to all that they shall teach you: 
Deu 17:11  according to the decisions of the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do. You shall not turn away from the sentence which they shall show you, to the right hand, nor to the left. 
Deu 17:12  The man who does presumptuously, in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Yahweh your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die. You shall put away the evil from Israel. 
Deu 17:13  All the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously. 

The Sanhedrin’s ruling, whether right or wrong, became YHVH’s Law for us. Period. It has been this calendar that kept the Jews together as a people in the diaspora, and this made it possible for the Jews to do the impossible and return to the land in order to fulfill Jerusalem becoming Mystery Babylon, a major component for the Tribulation during which the Jews will see Yeshua is the Messiah, after all. They have to go through this so they can mourn for Him whom they pierced (Zechariah 12:6-14).

Another objection by some is that the Jewish calendar may still be in the wrong hands even though we know who is from Aaron. That is OK. Do you know why? I earlier said I would explain this, now I will. Yeshua came to the cross as the Lamb of God on the calendar set by the unauthorized authorities of the Temple in the 1st century. He showed up on their calendar and He showed up in YHVH’s appointed city. He did not oppose the calendar or make them come get Him from an unauthorized high place to drag Him into Jerusalem in order to slaughter Him. He was in the right place on the calendar which was supervised by men who bought the High Priesthood from the Romans! Why can’t we do the same? Are we not to be in His image? Are we better than our Messiah and teacher?

Here is a prophetic reason to follow the Jewish/Hebrew calculated calendar. YHVH’s sign in the heavens happen on the days the Hillel II calendar says they are supposed to. The blood moons in 2015 and 2016 happened on the Hillel II calendar. I will explain why in a minute.

We should not participate in the sins of the Jews following Judaism but we should follow YHVH’s Law which says He has appointed times and a place for His worship. We also should not follow those who want us to follow other calendars as Jeroboam did. Doing the Feasts at different times and in any different place than in His appointed city is sin against Him. This is why the nations who refuse to come to Sukkot in the Millennium will be punished with no rain which will result in famine for them (Zechariah 14:17). The will refuse to come pay tribute to biblical Israel and her King, Yeshua, at Sukkot, the Feast for the Nations, the Feast that symbolizes people coming to the land promised by God to Abraham.

The 2 main optional calendars are the sighted moon and Zadok calendars. Let’s talk about the sighted moon calendar first.

This coming April 8th eclipse can only happen when the moon is fully dark and between the sun and the earth. There are only a few minutes in which the moon fully obscures the sun from the earth. Very quickly, a sliver of the sun begins to occur. YHVH is not interested in slivers. He wants that which is either fully dark or fully lit to make the contrast between the dark and the light. This occurs only when the moon is fully dark and fully lit. The Hillel II calendar is a dark moon calendar. The new months begin on the dark moon. The Sanhedrin knew what modern meteorologists know: The new month’s 1st day occurs at the dark moon. We learned this in grade school! But Hebrew Roots people, their teachers and leaders, do not know this. We have become like the people in Isaiah’s day who also did not know something of importance. It goes like this:

Isa 1:2  Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for Yahweh has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. 
Isa 1:3  The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know, my people don’t consider.” 
Isa 1:4  Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken Yahweh. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward.

This passage goes on to describe the old man that was wounded and sick which would be replaced by the new man Paul spoke of in Ephesians and Colossians. Have we really fallen back to this far? Yes, we have!

In the moon phases for Jerusalem, published by Time-and-Date, Jerusalem’s new moon will appear at 9:20pm on April 8, 2024. April 9th continues the dark moon into April 9^th because a new, dark moon always takes at least 1 full day and sometimes 2 days to show its first waxing sliver. On the opposite side of the planet, over Mexico, the US and Canada, the fully dark moon will not eclipse the sun. Without the eclipse, no one would see the moon because it would be dark. But Because it will stand between the earth and the sun, we will know the dark moon is there.

The moon will not eclipse the sun in Jerusalem. It will simply be fully dark over Jerusalem at 9:20pm on April 8, 2024, until the end of April 9th. The Hillel II calendar was calculated to always have the new moon be a dark moon. You can do this work for yourself and see that the Hillel II calendar is a dark new moon calendar. The Jews do not use the sliver as the first day of the month.

The evidence, though, from the 3rd century BC to the calculation of the Hillel II calendar is that the Jews sighted the moon. Yes, they did. It was done as a witness that last night’s moon was the start of the month. The priests residing in all the towns of Israel would participate in the sighting of the sliver. They would signal from town to town with fires that sent up smoke. It was said that these fires could be seen all the way to Egypt.

The first fire was set on the Mount of Olives when the Temple priests saw the sliver. The priests in the surrounding would see the smoke from the fire and give witness that they also had seen the sliver. On the witness of 2 or 3 a fact is established. It becomes bound in YHVH’s Heaven as a fact. But what were the priests doing sighting the moon? Were they saying the sighted moon was the first day of the month? No, they were not. They were giving witness to yesterday’s dark new moon.

You can’t witness something if you can’t see it, folks. But this has been widely misconstrued in Hebrew Roots as a way to 1) say the Hillel IIJewish/Hebrew Calendar is wrong, and 2) to be different than the Jews so as not to be associated with Judaism.

One thing the Jews understood was when the Feasts of Passover and the first day of Sukkot should commence, and these must commence on the evening of the fully lit moon which can only come when the first day of the month occurs on the fully dark moon.

Psalms 81 is the chapter in which YHVH’s calls His people back to Passover, a Law which was being largely ignored at that time just as it is now. People use verse 3 as proof that the moon must be seen and that when it is seen that is the first day of the month.

Verse 3 uses the Hebrew word ‘keseh’ which means fully full. Strong’s H3677. ‘Keseh’ means literally “full moon”. This word, Strong’s H3677, is only used twice in scripture, and it describes the full moon as fully full. The only other place keseh appears in scripture is in Proverbs 7.

Pro 7:19  For my husband isn’t at home. He has gone on a long journey. 
Pro 7:20  He has taken a bag of money with him. He will come home at the full moon.” 

This wife is committing adultery but she knows her husband will not be home until the moon is full.

Let me use another description for the full moon: The full moon is fully covered in light. There is no light missing. There is no sliver out of the fullness of the moon.

The dark and fully lit moons describes what Yeshua’s Kingdom is and what it is not. There is no darkness in His Kingdom. There is only light. The two fully covered in darkness and then in light moon tell the story of the light and the darkness. Light is as far away from darkness as you can get!

Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, comes on the fully dark moon. What? There is a dark moon Feast? Yes! It arrives in darkness. Why? Our coming King, Yeshua, will arrive on this earth at its darkest time!

So the apostate Zadokite calendar, which was created by some men from the line of Zadok setting up their own temple in Samaria because of a breach in the family of Zadok, along with the sighted moon calendar are not YHVH’s calendar.

Now let’s look at the Zadok calendar which is a solar calendar that does not take the moon into account for timing anything. Teachers and leaders say that since the line of Zadok in Ezekiel 40-48 was a righteous line, then the Zadokite priesthood was using a solar-based calendar. Here is what these teachers and leaders aren’t telling you.

Eze 8:16  He brought me into the inner court of Yahweh’s house; and I saw at the door of Yahweh’s temple, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men, with their backs toward Yahweh’s temple, and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east. 
Eze 8:17  Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. Behold, they put the branch to their nose. 
Eze 8:18  Therefore I will also deal in wrath. My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. Though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet I will not hear them.” 
Eze 9:1  Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, each man with his destroying weapon in his hand.” 
Eze 9:2  Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar. 
Eze 9:3  The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side. 
Eze 9:4  Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” 
Eze 9:5  To the others he said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity. 
Eze 9:6  Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house. 
Eze 9:7  He said to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city. 
Eze 9:8  While they were killing, and I was left, I fell on my face, and cried, and said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?” 
Eze 9:9  Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh doesn’t see.’ 
Eze 9:10  As for me also, my eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.” 
Eze 9:11  Behold, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, “I have done as you have commanded me.” 

After the siege of Jerusalem and the captivity of some of the Jews to Babylon, there were men still doing sun worship in YHVH’s Temple. That their brethren had been carted off affected them not! We can suppose that they viewed that captivity as not that it was not going to affect them.

Ezekiel wrote from Babylon in the year 592BC, according to commentaries, and he is known to be from the line of Zadok. Yet he is writing about those who were still in the Temple before the second wave of Babylonian captivity had come who were worshiping the sun.

Ezekiel was part of Jeremiah 24’s good figs, the good priesthood, which went into captivity first. Twenty three years was long enough for the bad priests, whoever they were, to lead people into sun worship. The Zadok calendar was not in use then. It was invented after the Babylonian captivity in the last 4^th or early 3^rd centuries BC. But I can tell you now that YHVH hates anything to do with worshiping according to the sun!

Some of the line of Zadok spoken of in Ezekiel went into captivity in the first wave in 605BC. We know this because Ezekiel is from the line of Zadok. He was of priestly lineage but was never “ordained” in order to enter priestly ministry. The line of Zadok still had control of the Temple until their Babylonian captivity in 605BC.

The line of Zadok would again have control of the Temple after returning to Jerusalem with Ezra and Nehemia. Zechariah 3 tells us the priesthood would be under Joshua. Joshua was from Zadok. Jehozadak is the last High Priest listed in the Bible. He was the son of the high priest Seraiah at the time of the Babylonian exile (597-581 BCE, 1Chronicles 6:14, 15). Joshua was the son of Seraiah who returned with Zerubbabel.

Part of the line of Zadok maintained the integrity or righteousness before YHVH so when YHVH told Ezekiel that the line of Zadok would serve Him in the Millennium, it was an affirmation of who Ezekiel was and a confirmation to Ezekiel that the line of Zadok would continue even though there were apostates within the line. Remember, the good figs were taken to Babylon in the first wave of Babylonian captivity. The bad figs were left until the last wave in 587BC.

Does that mean that Jehozadak was a bad fig? Not necessarily. YHVH must always have His remnant among His people. We don’t know must about Jehozadak’s character, aside from the fact that the name “Zadok” appears in his name. But we do know that there was sun worship going on inside the Temple compound and that the end of Jerusalem would come because of that under the siege of Jerusalem and the subsequent second wave of captivity.

But few people realize that, after the Babylonian captivity was over, there was a split in the Zadok family in the early 4th century. Please listen to the teaching on this by Dawn Hagedorn of His Word Heals dot com. I will put links to her excellent teachings on this matter below. There is way too much information to include it here. Suffice it to be known that it was the apostate line of Zadok, the murderous line, which moved north to Samaria. That line became political friends of the Persians and then the Greeks. There also was a line of Zadokites that moved to Onias, Egypt, where they built a Temple to YHVH.

Does YHVH’s Temple belong in Samaria? No. Does it belong in Egypt? No. But remember there was and still is a huge population of Jews in Egypt from the time just before the Babylonian captivity. Jeremiah wrote much about these people who would later kidnap him and take him to Egypt with them.

This history changes what these teachers and leaders have to say about the Zadok calendar. Even the line of Zadok may have had bad figs, unrighteous men in the priesthood but the majority of them were faithful to YHVH in the time of Ezekiel to the point that YHVH promised the Millennial priesthood to Ezekiel’s Zadok line.

Furthermore, the line of Zadok continued in the Temple with Zechariah and Yochanan the baptizer, Zechariah’s son. This line had been usurped by the Hasmonean Levites who were Levites but not from the line Aaron for about 2 centuries leading up to the life of Yeshua. Then the High Priesthood became for sale to the highest bidder by the Greeks followed by the Romans. Those High Priesthoods continued with the same calendar, though. Yeshua showed up when they told Him to, right? Then came the Hillel II calendar in 359AD.

Part of the problem people find with the Jewish/Hebrew calendar has to do with intercalary month of Adar II. They say that because the Jews put that extra month in the calendar every 19 years, it can’t be the right calendar. Let me show you what happens in the Zadok calendar if it is not adjusted periodically.

The result of not adjusting either calendar would be disastrous for knowing the planting the seasons and also YHVH’s appointed Feasts in His appointed city. Let me describe for you what a non-lunar calendar does to the timing of the growing seasons. It is Ramadan in Islam now. When I came to Jordan in 2015, Ramadan started in the middle of June. Ramadan began on March 10th this year. Do you see the slide backward in time? If the Zadokite calendar is not adjusted, the growing seasons which are part of YHVH’s commandments along with the Feasts timing, will suffer.

Another point I want to make is that the teachers and leaders who advocate the Zadok calendar are using the Dead Sea Scrolls like these are scriptures. The Dead Sea Scrolls are not scripture. As Dawn Hagedorn recently said, “Scripture trumps the Dead Sea Scrolls”. I say scripture trumps everything and everyone!

The Dead Sea Scrolls are not canon, nor can they be because they are from the apostate line of Zadok, not from the faithful line of Zadok which was still working in the Temple under unauthorized authorities. Zechariah and John the Baptist are the two we have in scripture but there were others present in the Temple, as well. This is the correct Zadok line, not those who built a Temple of YHVH in Samaria and Onias, Egypt. By the way, you can go to Samaria and meet with the High Priest there. He will tell you that the Samarians are the correct priestly line. No they are not. They are an apostate offshoot of that line who was unfaithful to YHVH and ran away to other parts of Israel, Samaria and the Dead Sea, and Egypt to continue being priests even though they were not anointed to be so! Anointing is important, folks! The High Priest and the attendant priests all have to be anointed for their office. The apostate Zadok line was full of Zadok priests who were not anointed for service to YHVH. This information changes the entire scenario and takes the glow off of the Zadok calendar, doesn’t it?

Are we to be like Yeshua? Yes. Are we better than our master, the same question He asked His disciples? No. Then how can we account for the calendar hubris exhibited by today’s teachers and leaders? Only that this is how much worse is Israel’s sin in that they do not want to follow His calendar or go to the place of His name. They want their own calendars and their own high places for worship.  

Who is it that YHVH gave control of His Feast calendar to? Aaron, the Levite. What was YHVH’s purpose in that? To ensure that His people would know when to come to His appointed place at His appointed time, the time when He said His people should come. If these teachers and leaders think they may be Levites from the line of Aaron, then let them go to Jerusalem to see the 2 Chief Rabbis and present themselves as Cohen! Cohen must be anointed for them to act as priests. If the chief Rabbis won’t anoint these teachers and leaders, they still have no authority over the calendar of YHVH just like the apostate line of Zadok which left Jerusalem in a huff doesn’t have authority over the calendar! Thus, they need to keep their mouths shut about it and just teach people to do what YHVH says where He says and when He says!

YHVH is not trying to find out which leader or teacher is the smartest and who comes the closest to getting the calendar right. Rather, YHVH is looking for those who are willing to be obedient to the government structure He created and implemented. Who lead His people to His light and who will lead them into darkness.

Where is the commandment that says one from any of the 12 tribes are to correct the line of Aaron? Where is the commandment that tells anyone from the 12 tribes to only obey the line of Aaron if that line is doing things right? Where is the commandment that says it is for people from the 12 tribes to decide when YHVH’s Feasts are?

Right now, almost all of the popular Hebrew Roots teachers are leading YHVH’s people into darkness with the mixing of light and dark that comes with the sighted moon calendar and to sun worship with the Zadokite solar calendar! There is another choice besides these two calendars. It is the one that is still in the hands of the Levitical priesthood which is currently with the Jews.

People, you are still responsible for your own salvation. Don’t walk. Run! Run away from teachers and leaders who are becoming more apostate by the day!
