THE MAP
This is the original study maps for the 12 tribes of Israel.
INHERITANCE MAP |
One is the inheritance map, the other the functional map showing how the tribal borders changed over time. These would continue to change after the Kingdom of Israel split asunder all the way to the present time.
Here is the map of Israel’s future.

This map was given to Ezekiel by YHVH while Ezekiel was in Babylon. It is proof of the Messiah’s future intended work in the final restoration of 12-tribed Israel and the cosmos, the orderly arrangement (John 3:16). Its different appearance to the allotted map of Joshua testifies that the Millennial Kingdom will be much different than what man has experienced on earth so far. This map will never change. No tribes will take territory from another as has been done in the past.
Ezekiel 48:1 “Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath (and they shall have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:2 “By the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:3 “By the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, Naphtali, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:4 “By the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:5 “By the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:6 “By the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, Reuben, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:7 “By the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one portion.
The portions are equal. One portion for every tribe. The portions do not look equal because of their shapes but each tribe will receive an area equal to every other tribe as an inheritance in the Abraham’s royal land grant except the Prince, Yeshua, also will receive 1 portion which is portrayed as larger than the other portions.
It is necessary to understand this Temple is the Messiah’s Temple and Yeshua is the Messiah.
Zechariah 6:12 …‘Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build Yahweh’s temple;
Zechariah 6:13 even he shall build Yahweh’s temple; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Yeshua is the Branch. He is the Son of His Father, YHVH. This makes Him to be the Prince, YHVH.
There are actually 13 royal land grant portions but one of those portions belongs to the Prince.
Ezekiel 48:8 “By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand reeds in width, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the middle of it.
This portion is 25,000 x 25,000 reeds. 25,000 reeds is 42.61 miles, 68.58 kilometers. This is roughly a little less than 1815 square miles, 4700 square kilometers. This portion pertains only to the Prince’s shared portion for the sanctuary, an area for the Zadok Priests, an area for the Levites, some land for the city, some open area around the city and a place for the workers in the city. It does not describe the Prince’s entire portion from east to west, from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea.
The offering in verse 8 is a “holy offering”, “qodesh t’rumah” – holy present, sacrifice or tribute. Some Bible versions say “heave offering” or “wave offering” which, in the animal offerings, is a ceremonially raised and lowered offering in dedication to YHVH. The animal heave or wave offerings, then, were reserved specifically and only for the Priests as food (Leviticus 10:14, Numbers 18:10-11, Deuteronomy 18:1).
We have a conundrum in verse 8 in that there is no scholarship (insofar as I can find) addressing who is the “you” in verse 8. “[This] “shall be the offering which you shall offer”. Is this “you” the tribes? Is it a reference to the High Priest who will perform the offering? Perhaps it is Ezekiel who YHVH intends to set apart this portion. I lean toward Ezekiel himself. Interestingly, we will see in verse 12 that the land gives a portion of this portion to the Prince and the Priests. Here is the exact portion within the 25,000 x 25,000 reeds which will be further set apart.
Ezekiel 48:9 “The offering that you shall offer to Yahweh shall be twenty-five thousand reeds in length, and ten thousand in width.
Ezekiel 48:10 For these, even for the priests, shall be the holy offering: toward the north twenty-five thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in width, and toward the east ten thousand in width, and toward the south twenty-five thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Yahweh shall be in the middle of it.
The above is part of the larger portion for the Prince.
Ezekiel 48:11 It shall be for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my instruction, who didn’t go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
Here now is a new and diminutive term – “the Levites” – introduced to us by Ezekiel to distinguish between two groups of Priests that both came from the line of Aaron but some of them were faithful and some were not. The Priests are referred to as the faithful and “the Levites” were unfaithful.
The term “the Priests the Levites” is used throughout scripture. This term denotes the line of Aaron. Many are the scriptures that separate the Priests from the Levites. But now, to distinguish between the 2 Aaronic lines, we now see the terms “the Priests” and “the Levites”, as well. The Millennial Temple will have 2 classes of Aaronic Priests: Those who are of the faithful line of Zadok and “the Levites” who strayed. We must remember this distinction when studying Ezekiel and the future Millennial Temple. The terminology can be confusing because, today, the line of Aaron is commonly referred to as “the Levite Priests” and “the Jewish Priests”, which is never what they were called in scripture.
When did the Priests not go astray? Over the course of almost 420 years from the time of Zadok as High Priest during the reign of King David to the Babylonian captivity.
When did the demoted, dishonored and lower-ranked priestly “Levites”, go astray? In the same 420 year period. Those Priests, now dishonored and called “the Levites” will serve the Prince but with limited capacity than they enjoyed prior.
Ezekiel 44:10 “‘“But the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from me after their idols, they will bear their iniquity.
Ezekiel 44:11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and ministering in the house. They shall kill the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.
They must be from the line of Aaron to perform the killing of the burnt offering and the sacrifice. No other people are allowed to do that. Yet, we learn that their work will be limited. It is this limitation that creates the second, lower ranked class of Priests in between the Zadok Priests and the Levite servants which will serve in the Temple.
Ezekiel 44:12 Because they ministered to them [the Israelites] before their [the Israelites’] idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel. Therefore I have lifted up my hand against them,” says the Lord Yahweh, “and they will bear their iniquity.
The unfaithful Priests ministered the ministries of idols to the Israelites. It was their job to stop the Israelites from worshiping idols. Instead, they not did not stop them, they joined and even assisted the Israelites in their idolatries for several hundred years even stretching back to the time of the Judges.
Ezekiel 44:13 They shall not come near to me, to execute the office of priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they will bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
Ezekiel 44:14 Yet I will make them performers of the duty of the house, for all its service, and for all that will be done therein.
We know these are former fully functioning Priests because only Priests can kill the burnt offering and sacrifices. Levite servants cannot do that. This is where Numbers 18 kicks in. Numbers 18 specifies that the Priesthood will bear the iniquity of the Priesthood and everything that went wrong in the Tabernacle.
Numbers 18:1 Yahweh said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your fathers’ house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
So these “Levites” are no longer called “Priests”. They have been demoted to a lower rank status, a new status within the Priesthood itself. They are now only called “Levites” or “Levite Priests”. The distinction between the “Levite Priests” and the other Levitical families who serve YHVH is that the latter originally were given to Aaron as servants (Numbers 8:5-22). None of Aaron’s line was ever referred to in scripture as being of servant status. These “Levite Priests” are still from Aaron biologically. They are not from the other Levite families and are not of the same lower status as the Levite servants. In rank, they still outrank the Levite servants but they are now a new rank in between because they led Israel in their idolatry. Some of whom Ezekiel may be referring to were sun worshipers in Jerusalem while Ezekiel sat in Babylon, leading the Israelites in sun worship, according to Ezekiel 8 and 9!
If they were so wicked, how do they find themselves in Yeshua’s holy Kingdom? They likely repented of their sins somewhere along the way. Those who were taken in the 3rd wave of the Babylonian exile may have repented during or after the long tortuous trek from Jerusalem to Babylon.
These priests would necessarily have had to repent so they can be found among those demoted Levite Priests whose only task is to kill the sacrifices in the Millennial Kingdom.
There is a false doctrine in Christianity which claims that forgiveness of sin brings with it God forgetting about consequences. Numbers 18, however, clearly shows that the Priests will bear the iniquity of the sanctuary and their own sins. So now, these idolatrous and sun worshiping priests who have repented have lost position and status in the coming Kingdom. Sin has consequences, even all the way to the Millennium.
In the configuration of Ezekiel Temple, the Zadok Priests will surround the sanctuary. At the Tabernacle:
Numbers 3:38 Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons…
But in Ezekiel 48:10, the priests will surround the sanctuary.
This is for the protection of the sanctuary from the former, and now demoted, Levite Priests and as the rest of Numbers 3:38 says: “The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.”
Who was the only priest to protect YHVH’s Tabernacle? Phineas. From him comes the line of Zadok. The father of Phineas was Eleazar. Phineas’s grandfather was Aaron. Zadok comes from the line of Eleazar through Phineas.
According to 1 Chronicles 6:35–38, Zadok’s ancestry is the following: Phinehas begat Abishua, Abishua begat Bukki, Bukki begat Uzzi, Uzzi begat Zerahiah, Zerahiah begat Meraioth, Meraioth begat Amariah, Amariah begat Ahitub, and Ahitub begat Zadok.
Thus, Zadok is from Phineas. The Zadok Priests have the same zeal as Phineas. So the line of Zadok now has the privilege and honor of dwelling within the Prince’s portion around the sanctuary.
Ezekiel 48:12 It shall be to them an offering from the offering of the land, a most holy thing, by the border of the Levites.
The Zadok line of priests will always be in attendance to the Prince and His Temple.
Ezekiel 40:46 The room which faces toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the duty of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Yahweh to minister to him.”
Ezekiel 44:15 “‘“But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who performed the duty of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me to minister to me. They shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood,” says the Lord Yahweh.
Ezekiel 44:16 “They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my instruction.
Ezekiel 48:10’s portion for the holy section of the Prince’s portion has now been given leaving a remaining portion of 25,000 by 15,000, some of which will be for the Levite servants and the dishonored Levite Priests’ dwellings to the north of the sanctuary, the city south of the sanctuary and the area for workers.
Ezekiel 48:13 “Answerable to the border of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in width. All the length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the width ten thousand.
…to the north of the Priestly section.
Ezekiel 48:14 They shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy to Yahweh.
The reason the Priests, dishonored Levite Priests and Levite servants cannot sell their dwelling portion is because they will not inherit it. It will not belong to them. YHVH is their portion (Deuteronomy 12:12, 14:27 and 29, 18:1).
Ezekiel 48:15 “The five thousand that are left in the width, in front of the twenty-five thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling and for pasture lands; and the city shall be in the middle of it.
Ezekiel 48:16 These shall be its measurements: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.
Ezekiel 48:17 The city shall have open land: toward the north two hundred fifty, and toward the south two hundred fifty, and toward the east two hundred fifty, and toward the west two hundred fifty.
Ezekiel 48:18 The remainder in the length, alongside the holy offering, shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward; and it shall be alongside the holy offering. Its increase shall be for food to those who labor in the city.
Ezekiel 48:19 Those who labor in the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.
Ezekiel 48:20 All the offering shall be a square of twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand. You shall offer it as a holy offering, with the possession of the city.
Ezekiel 48:21 “The remainder shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy offering and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand of the offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, alongside the portions, it shall be for the prince. The holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the middle of it.
Ezekiel 48:22 Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the middle of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.
Ezekiel 48:23 “As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:24 “By the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:25 “By the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:26 “By the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:27 “By the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one portion.
Ezekiel 48:28 “By the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, to the brook, to the great sea.
Ezekiel 48:29 “This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, says Adonai YHVH.
As you can see, the Millennial land arrangement is very different than the allotments received by the tribes in Joshua’s time. This is because each allotment was received by lot. The Prince will assign allotments, those given in to Ezekiel in chapter 48. No men will be sent to survey the land and no lots will be drawn.
Formerly, the land was allotted according to where the enemies of YHVH were in the land at that time. The descendants of Canaan dwelt in the entire land and most of the surveys used natural borders and Canaanite cities as landmarks. There will be no enemies of YHVH in the land in the Millennium, thus no need to allot tribes strategically for war, a strategy which failed, anyway.
Every tribe will receive the same amount of land all the others. Some say the configuration of tribal territories are somehow a statement on the greater and lesser honoring of each tribe. For instance, the concubines’ (Zilpah and Bilhah’s) tribes – Dan, Asher, Naphtali and Gad – will receive less honor than the tribes from Jacob’s wives. I believe this sentiment comes partly from a spirit of jealousy which will not exist in the Millennium.
Isaiah 11:13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
Also, perhaps the tribal configurations have to do with each tribe’s spiritual performance over the last 3500 years. Dan, for instance, is not mentioned in the 144,000 list. His allotment is the furthest away from the city. Again, sin has consequences.
Regardless, YHVH provides for all of His children. While we may think some tribes are honored more than others, such may be the case but who are we to pass judgement on YHVH for that? How can we understand this before we enter the Millennium? I suggest we cannot. Much has been studied and discussed about the layout of the coming Kingdom yet no consensus has been formulated about the mind of God on this matter.
At first glance, it appears Joseph has not received an allotment. See that there is a double portion for Joseph through the allotments given to Ephraim and Manasseh. Joseph has his name on one of the city gates, also. It is because of the double portion for Joseph that there are 12 tribal allotments. Otherwise, there would be 11 portions and 1 for Levi. Joseph’s double portion through the Millennium will remain through his two sons. Thus we have 13 allotments – 12 for the tribes and 1 for the Levites.
Verse 30 begins the naming of the city gates, each tribe having a gate named after them. This includes Levi. He will not inherit land but he still has a gate with his name on it.
THE CITY
The name Jerusalem is not spoken in chapter 48. Ezekiel references only “the city”. This is because Jerusalem will have a new name – “YHVH is there”.
Ezekiel 48:35 “It shall be eighteen thousand reeds around: and the name of the city from that day shall be, ‘YHVH is there.’
‘YHVH Shama’ in Hebrew. No, this is not the same word we pray: Hear, O Israel, YHVH your God is One. ‘Shama’, Strong’s H8033 is spelled shin mem hey () while ‘shema’, Strong’s H8045, is spelled shin mem ayin. And no, ‘shin mem’ is not a 2 letter root. There is no semantic meaning between these 2 words even though they sound much alike.
Why will the city be called ‘YHVH is there’? Perhaps the Jewish leaders’ and the world’s rejection of Yeshua has something to do with that. YHVH will broadcast that “Yeshua the Prince” is none other than “YHVH in the flesh” who lived, died, resurrected and restored Israel. When this map is fulfilled, it will prove Yeshua is YHVH, the Messiah, our Savior, Deliverer, our Elohim and our King!
The Jewish leaders, along with much of the Jewish people who followed the Jewish leaders, certainly did not believe He was there when He was with them. The world has continued to deny Him since then. During the Millennium, Yeshua will put His true identity on the city when He names it ‘YHVH is there’. More than just His name, it will be His name with a stamp!
THE ZADOK HIGH PRIEST
The Prince is Yeshua and Yeshua is the Melchizedek, High Priest and King of the whole earth, who will return with His Order of Melchizedek in full array. But there will be a functioning Zadok Priesthood, as well. The question now is: who will be the High Priest? Ezekiel will be Israel’s Levitical High Priest serving under Yeshua, the Prince.
YHVH revealed to Ezekiel that he will serve as the High Priest in the coming Millennium in Ezekiel chapters 40 and 43. This is why YHVH revealed the Temple, the altar, the city with its gates, the sacrifices which will be done in the Temple and the configuration of the tribes to Ezekiel. YHVH would not tell just anyone the inner workings of the Millennial Temple and the Prince’s reign. After all, it was to Ezekiel that YHVH revealed all 4 of His faces and his personal vehicle! You don’t get close to the US President’s limousine unless you are “somebody”, right? In YHVH’s Kingdom, Ezekiel is “somebody” who is way more important than any worldly leader. But he got close to YHVH’s own chariot in great detail! So we understand how special Ezekiel is just from his encounters with YHVH, but few realize just how special Ezekiel really is.
Here are supporting scriptures for Ezekiel as the coming Zadok High Priest.
Ezekiel 40:1 In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was struck, in the same day, Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me there.
Ezekiel 40:2 In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me down on a very high mountain, whereon was as it were the frame of a city on the south.
Ezekiel 40:3 He brought me there; and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
Ezekiel 40:4 The man said to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I will show you; for you have been brought here so that I may show them to you [Ezekiel]. Declare all that you [Ezekiel] see to the house of Israel.”
Now let’s go to chapter 43.
Ezekiel 43:6 I heard one speaking to me out of the house; and a man stood by me.
Ezekiel 43:7 He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell among the children of Israel forever. The house of Israel [all 12 tribes] will no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their prostitution [idolatry and sun worship], and by the dead bodies of their kings in their high places;
Ezekiel 43:8 in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their door post beside my door post. There was a wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed. Therefore I have consumed them in my anger.
Ezekiel 43:9 Now let them put away their prostitution, and the dead bodies of their kings, far from me. Then I will dwell among them forever.
Ezekiel 43:10 “You [Ezekiel], son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.
Ezekiel 43:11 If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, and its fashion, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its ordinances, and all its forms, and all its laws; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form of it, and all its ordinances, and do them.
Ezekiel 43:12 “This is the law of the house. On the top of the mountain the whole limit around it shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.
Who enforces the laws of YHVH’s house? The Aaronic Priesthood. The High Priest is ultimately responsible for ensuring the proper function of the rituals and maintaining the ritual purity of the Temple.
Now let’s learn about the altar.
Ezekiel 43:13 “These are the measurements of the altar by cubits (the cubit is a cubit and a hand width): the bottom shall be a cubit, and the width a cubit, and its border around its edge a span; and this shall be the base of the altar.
Ezekiel 43:14 From the bottom on the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the lesser ledge to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the width a cubit.
Ezekiel 43:15 The upper altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth and upward there shall be four horns.
Ezekiel 43:16 The altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelve wide, square in its four sides.
Ezekiel 43:17 The ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteen wide in its four sides; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and its bottom shall be a cubit around; and its steps shall look toward the east.”
Ezekiel 43:18 He said to me, “Son of man, thus says Adonai YHVH: ‘These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they [the Priests] make it, to offer burnt offerings on it, and to sprinkle blood on it.
Ezekiel 43:19 You [Ezekiel] shall give to the priests the Levites who are of the offspring of Zadok, who are near to me, to minister to me,’ says Adonai YHVH, ‘a young bull for a sin offering.
Ezekiel 43:20 You [Ezekiel] shall take of its blood, and put it on its four horns, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the border all around. You [Ezekiel] shall cleanse it and make atonement for it that way.
Ezekiel 43:21 You [Ezekiel] shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burned in the appointed place of the house, outside of the sanctuary.
Ezekiel 43:22 “On the second day you [Ezekiel] shall offer a male goat without defect for a sin offering; and they [the Priests] shall cleanse the altar, as they cleansed it with the bull.
Ezekiel 43:23 When you [Ezekiel] have finished cleansing it, you [Ezekiel] shall offer a young bull without defect, and a ram out of the flock without defect.
Ezekiel 43:24 You [Ezekiel] shall bring them near to Yahweh, and the priests shall cast salt on them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering to Yahweh.
Ezekiel 43:25 “Seven days you [Ezekiel] shall prepare every day a goat for a sin offering. They [the Priests] shall also prepare a young bull, and a ram out of the flock, without defect.
Ezekiel 43:26 Seven days shall they [the Priests] make atonement for the altar and purify it. So shall they consecrate it.
Ezekiel here is officiating at the dedication of the Millennial altar in almost the same manner as Moses. No one but a High Priest can do that. Moses will not be doing this.
Ezekiel 43:27 When they [the Zadok Priests] have accomplished the days, it shall be that on the eighth day, and forward, the priests shall make your [Ezekiel’s] burnt offerings on the altar, and your [Ezekiel’s] peace offerings. Then I will accept you [Ezekiel and the Zadok Priesthood],’ says Adonai YHVH.”
Where are the daily burnt offerings found elsewhere in scripture? Leviticus 6:8-23. The High Priest gave the daily burnt lamb offering and a daily meal offering. But Aaron could not do this until the altar had been consecrated just like we are now reading Ezekiel’s consecration so he can oversee the daily burnt offering. THAT’S THE AUTHORITY OF THE HIGH PRIEST.
This is the consecration of YHVH’s altar. This happened in Aaron’s day in Leviticus 8 along with Aaron and his sons’ consecration. Now, you have seen how many times YHVH commands Ezekiel to do the rituals associated with consecrating His altar and presiding over the daily burnt offering.
Unless Ezekiel shows up in the anticipated Jewish Temple, that Temple will not be the Millennial Temple, Ezekiel’s Temple. Could there be a Jewish High Priest who gives his name as Ezekiel? Yes. But unless that High Priest is presiding over 12 tribes in their given configuration according to Ezekiel 48, he will not be the Millennial High Priest. Ezekiel will serve directly under Yeshua in matters of the Temple that honors YHVH, Yeshua.
Ezekiel is High Priest of the Zadok Priesthood because he prophesied about the restoration of the tribes in Ezekiel 37. He addressed the Tribulation problems of the tribes in Ezekiel 38 and 39, and he addressed the ingathering of YHVH’s people (Ezekiel 11:17, 20:24 and 31, 22:19 (gathering us in Jerusalem to be presided over by Yeshua and the Zadok line of Priests), 34:13, 36:24, Ezekiel 37:21, 38:8 and 12, 29:27-28). Jeremiah also prophesied about the ingathering as did other prophets, but the specific vision and details of the Temple were only given to Ezekiel.
Ezekiel acted as a High Priest in chapters 14 and 20 in that the elders of Israel who were in the Babylonian captivity with him came to inquire from YHVH through him. In chapter 36:33-38, Ezekiel prophesies that YHVH will once again in the future return to being inquired of. The “inquiring” done on behalf of the Israelites is performed by the High Priest
Let’s see who did this in the past.
Exo 18:15 Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God.
Moses inquired to God on behalf of the people.
Numbers 27:21 He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”
The High Priest took over from Moses to do the inquiring of YHVH on behalf of Israel. Now, we see the elders of Israel giving this honor to Ezekiel in Babylon.
Ezekiel will be the High Priest of the Zadokite Priesthood.
Almost no one understands there will be two Priesthoods serving YHVH during the Millennium. The pattern for this comes from the two separate Priesthoods that served David’s Kingdom. This will repeat in Yeshua’s Kingdom because He is also called the “son of David”.
And now you know the orderly arrangement, the earthly part of the cosmos, which Yeshua died for on the cross to restore, and to restore Israel so the Gentiles will have a Kingdom to enter when they convert from being Gentile to being Israelite, and which will be restored during His Millennial reign and forever afterward.
