Devarim

Devarim 2016: The History of Whoredom

Moses recounts the history of the first wilderness generation to the second as they prepare to go into the Land. In the recounting, the story of the ten spies comes up again. That situation is the reason the second generation takes the Land instead of the first generation. It is usually not understood that the sin committed in that first generation was idolatry and that their sin helps to define what YHVH means when He uses that word. Listen to find out how the sin of the ten spies was idolatry and not merely rejecting their Land Grant.
