Va’era 2023: Sovereignty and Surrender

Exodus 6:2-9:35 | Ezekiel 28:25-29:21 | Luke 11:14-22; Romans 9:14-33

As in the beginning, so in the end. For only the second time in the history of the earth, YHVH will make His people to become a nation. The first time, He led them from one place, Egypt, to His land. The second time, he won’t lead them by the hand according to Jeremiah 31:32 because they are not all in one place. Two different methods with the same outcome: There will be an Israel on the earth and this time, unlike the first, Israel will rule the world in righteousness and will bring the nations to YHVH. But before that happens, the world will have second sovereignty war.

There is an empire today which thinks it will rule the world from now on. The United Nations, its WHO and its economic branch, the WEF are at this very moment getting into a sovereignty war with YHVH. They plan to do to YHVH’s people what Pharoah failed to accomplish 3500 years ago. Our situation is exactly like the one faced by the Israelites all those years ago. Everyone, Israelites and heathen, are about to get an introduction to the true sovereign of Israel, the earth and all the universe.

In this Torah Portion, Moses was the first to be introduced to Israel’s sovereign King.

Exo 6:2  God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am Yahweh; 

That is an abrupt introduction. Moses now is granted to know YHVH’s royal name, the name He will go as the king of Israel and which he expects to be called on by the people of Israel in his role as their King. Until now, this name has remained unknown by even the forefathers of Israel – Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Exo 6:3  and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them. 

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had personal relationships with Elohim, El Shaddai, El Elyon and El Elohe Israel. They received special covenants from Elohim which became foundational to the formalization of the nation of Israel, yet they did not know the name “YHVH”. But now, BECAUSE OF and in the power and authority of that name, YHVH will fulfill His promise of the royal land grant and so must reveal the name that bears the sovereignty, authority and power to do so.

Our world is about to endure a crisis much greater than what happened in Egypt so the world, too, at this time will know who is sovereign. Even the sovereign-wannabes of the UN, WHO, and WEF will surrender to YHVH before this is all over. It is inevitable. Only YHVH controls who reigns, who lives and who dies.

Revelation 9:6  In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

Death will flee because death is itself under YHVH’s control. Just as in Egypt when YHVH controlled who died…, you know… the firstborns, He will display His sovereignty over death. Those who have defied Him will be in so much pain they will want to die but His answer will be, “No. Suffer! My Son suffered for you and you have rejected him!”

Sovereignty and surrender go hand in hand in our relationship with YHVH both as a nation and as individuals. Given that the first Exodus had to do with YHVH’s land, so does the Ingathering also have to do with His land and His land will go to those who have surrendered to His sovereignty. This is why YHVH told Moses:

Exo 6:4  I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens. 

Under the auspices of Elohim, El Shaddai, El Elyon and El Elohe Israel, YHVH established with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that their descendants would inherit the promises of nationality in the future. Israel will inherit YHVH’s land because YHVH says so. That is His sovereign will. It is also His requirement, one of His own making. If He does not bring the Children of Israel to His land, it means He is not sovereign.

Rom 11:29  For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

YHVH cannot revoke His promises. He cannot revoke the royal land grant He gave to Abraham which was passed on to Isaac and Jacob and then to the Israelites who are now, in this Torah Portion and in this day that we are in, stuck in Egypt. In order for them, and us, to inherit His land, He must first lead and deliver them from Egypt, protect them as they travel and deliver them to Canaan where they will do His will by removing the squatter Canaanites from the land and HE must do so as their sovereign whose heretofore unknown royal name is YHVH.

Moses’s job is to now go tell the Israelites they have a King and that their “I AM THAT I AM’, who their forefathers knew as Elohim, El Shaddai, El Elyon and El Elohe Israel is the One who will be King over them. His royal name is YHVH and they will now need to surrender to His sovereignty because He is about to rescue them from the land of His enemy, Ham!

The reason we are to call on His name, YHVH, is because there is power in that name. The power of names of gods has long been known by occultists. It is the reason why they seek to know the secret name of a deity. “YHVH” was, until this point, a secret name. Now, he has another secret name as well and we’ll learn about that in a minute. Occultists believe that knowing the name of the deity gives them power OVER that deity so they can manipulate said deity. In YHVH’s case, however, His name is not manipulatable. Rather, His name shows His authority over Israel. There is another secret name yet to come which will reveal Him as the sovereign over all the world.

Rev 3:12  He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.

So He’s going to have a new name that reveals who He is as the sovereign over the Earth. Until that time, His new name will remain secret.

To call on a King’s name is to call on His power but calling on His power also requires an implied reciprocal arrangement wherein the caller must worship and obey the King upon whom he called. By calling on the name, he has surrendered sovereignty over himself and given it in exchange to His King for help from the King. This is part of what is called the “patron/client” relationship in scholarly circles. This is, in part, why the Jews and others do not call on the name, YHVH. They do not want His sovereignty over them. They are not willing to surrender to Him. Surrendering to the King, then reneging on it comes with great punishment which is why the Tribulation starts with YHVH’s House, the House of Israel.

In this Torah Portion, the Israelites are now no longer recipients of Egypt’s benefits. They are now captives and slaves to Ham’s descendants, the Mizraites, otherwise known as Egyptians. YHVH will now require the Egyptians to release their Israelite captives. In the coming war, not only the Israelites will surrender to YHVH, the Egyptians will also surrender to YHVH. See how that works? Everyone will bow the knee! The captor and the captive. It will work the same way this time. All Israel will bow the knee to YHVH and all the conquered world also will bow the knee.

YHVH is now about to do a new thing. He will enter the world stage as King, King of Israel, a nation that does not yet exist on the earth, despite there being one that calls itself by that name. It is not Biblical Israel. Biblical Israel does exist in Heaven, and which was pre-existent before the foundation of the earth, according to Romans 11:1-10, Ephesians 1:3-12 and Matthew 13:36 forward. From this time in Egypt forward, YHVH, throughout history, will meet the other Kings of the earth, never as equal. He will meet them as their better and their handler causing them to do His will (as He is about to do now to Pharaoh) and He will rule over His people one way or another.

It is in this framework that the Israelites back then, and we who are Israelites now, must meet YHVH. What better way to know our God than as the King of Kings and LORD of Lords? Deu 10:17, Psa 136:2, Dan 2:47 and Dan 11:36 say that He is also “God of gods”.

Sovereignty is held by YHVH alone in His Kingdom. He decrees and all people obey. Throughout the history of the earth, all Kings have had the sole authority to decree laws. With YHVH, there is no “congress” or other legislative body. He makes decrees alone and acts alone. This is what sovereignty means! YHVH does not need help to enact Law for His people, Israel. He did not need any help in creating all that exists and he does not need the decrees of the Rabbis or Popes to help Him. And while not all people obey Him, the time will come when His people will get to see the result of what happens to all those who rebelled against Him. Even the Gentiles will be judged by YHVH’s sovereign law!

Disobedience is a choice. Once a person is surrendered to disobedience, he is of the Kingdom of wickedness run by Satan.

Surrendering to YHVH sets up a battleground to now happen within the individual, as well. This was Pharoah’s struggle. There was a struggle going on inside of him which caused him to decide what to do after each plague. Each time, he decided to strengthen his resolve to go to war against YHVH.

We are watching this happen again right now. Pharaoh, a mere man, had the arrogance to make war against his Creator, his King and his God! Sheer rebellion! But YHVH created the nations and thus can use them to do His will which also reveals His sovereignty, power and glory!

Surrendering involves acknowledging who has the ultimate control and Pharoah was not going to be controlled. Therefore, he refused to surrender and let the Israelites go. In Egypt, he controlled the gods. They did not control him. They did not require anything of him except appeasement. Rather, he had requirements of them and to prove his point, he surrounded himself with sorcerers and magicians who could manipulate the gods on behalf of Pharoah.

Surrender is a war time action. It requires giving up our own laws, our own ways, our own sovereignty to do as we wish, and surrendering to YHVH’s will. So we need to know what is YHVH’s will?

Psalms 40:8  I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.” 

The will of YHVH is for us to live by His law. The battle of the flesh has to do with surrendering to the right King – ourselves and our ways or YHVH and His ways. These really are the only 2 choices we have.

YHVH told Moses He has heard the groanings of the Children of Israel in Exodus 6:5.

Exo 6:6  Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments: 
Exo 6:7  and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 
Exo 6:8  I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.’” 
Exo 6:9  Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. 

YHVH won’t come back for His people until they do 2 things: 1) They groan because they are in anguish, and 2), they say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of YHVH” (Matthew 23:39).

Like the ancient Israelites, today’s people won’t hear the message of pending deliverance because of their anguish and cruel bondage. The problem is that right now people the world over are not truly suffering. They are not truly groaning or in that kind of anguish. This is the purpose of the coming Tribulation: To put YHVH’s people and all the world under such burden that they are in literal anguish that causes groaning.

At this point, YHVH sent Moses but the people didn’t listen. Despite their ears being closed…

Exo 6:13  Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. 

In other words, YHVH will do what He will do because He is sovereign in every situation. Those ancient Israelites were delivered and so will modern Israelites be delivered but only after much groaning and anguish which has yet to be seen.

Moses and Aaron went to Pharoah with the same message that had been given to the people (Exodus 6:13). You know, YHVH always tells His people first what He is about to do. He tells the world second. The NWO thinks they understand His message because they read the Bible for their own purposes. But they don’t understand it which is to YHVH’s advantage. In front of Pharoah, YHVH gave His messages in the form of miracles. Pharaoh’s sorcerers and magicians responded with parlor tricks in mimicry. Don’t be fooled by their parlor tricks. They are counterfeits. Believe YHVH!

Pharaoh now has a choice to make. In fact, he already made it the minute he opened His mouth against YHVH’s sovereignty over the earth, YHVH’s people, His land and even over this Pharaoh.

Exo 5:1  Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’” 
Exo 5:2  Pharaoh said, “Who is Yahweh, that I should listen to his voice to let Israel go? I don’t know Yahweh, and moreover I will not let Israel go.” 

Today, we don’t even know which Pharoah this was but we still know who YHVH is!

For Pharoah’s answer, the scripture says YHVH hardened Pharaoh’s heart. What really happened was that Pharoah was given a choice of cooperation with YHVH or war against YHVH. Pharaoh chose war. YHVH had told Moses He would strengthen, harden, Pharoah’s resolve to go to war with Him. It is in YHVH’s best interests for this to happen. I will tell you why in a minute.

One very old axiom is that war is good for the economy. Follow the money, folks. Perhaps Egypt’s economy was in need of a boost. Perhaps not. Maybe Pharoah just wanted to show off and get an additional prize, the Israelites, in the process. Either way, war has always been used by leaders of nations to provide more money and power to themselves.

The other political point about that situation 3500 years ago is that Pharoah knew these were not his people. Today’s “Pharoahs”, quot-unquote, know there are people who don’t belong to them, too! And now he (Pharaoh) saw, like “they” see, the chance for conquest of them by going to war with their God and King. Defeat the God, keep the spoils. Pharaoh didn’t have to go far! They were right there in his own house, his own land. Today’s NWO elites have the same situation, but they have to go out around the world. They think they now own everything on earth and all they have to do is get rid of the peoples’ God and King. Pharaoh didn’t have a vaccine to help him!

This descendant of Ham, this Pharaoh, now saw how he could overcome Shem’s firstborn position that was given to him by Noah. This Pharoah thinks he can come away with the whole prize! All the people of Israel can now become his. Not only would he rule over Egypt, here was his opportunity to rule over Abraham’s inheritance. And he could do it through conquering this usurper, YHVH! If you’re Pharoah, you’re thinking “golden opportunity”!

Oh! Because Christians and Jews have failed to show the light of YHVH’s Kingdom on earth, people think YHVH is dead! A dead God and King is a defeat-able God and King, according to the UN, WHO and WEF!

Exo 7:13  Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.

After Moses and Aaron turned the rod into serpents, Pharaoh’s heart was resolved, it was strengthened. Why? Why did YHVH do these little miracles that the magicians could do themselves even though YHVH’s serpent ate up all their serpents and so forth? Why did YHVH do these thing that He knew Pharaoh’s sorcerers and magicians could do with their illusions? Well, it’s a war ploy from YHVH. He allowed Pharoah’s sorcerers and magicians to do their illusion to give Him the upper hand with Pharaoh because as Pharoah watched his sorcerers and magicians do what YHVH’s “sorcerers and magicians” (quote/unquote) could do (you know, that is what Moses and Aaron were to Pharoah), it strengthened his faith in himself and his Egyptian empire’s army, its ability to go to war against YHVH.

The next sign YHVH gave to Pharaoh was turning the water of Egypt to blood. The Egyptian sorcerers and magicians also caused the water to turn to blood. The problem was they could not clear up the bloody water.

I’m going to insert in here that the reason YHVH turned the water to blood was because they had been using the water to kill the Hebrew baby boys. This was YHVH’s way of sending them a sure that He knew what they had done.

Exo 7:24  All the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink; for they couldn’t drink the river water. 
Exo 7:25  Seven days were fulfilled, after Yahweh had struck the river. 

The water of Egypt had blood in it. YHVH was only showing the Egyptians that He knew about the blood in their water. This had no effect on Pharoah, the Egyptians or the Israelites because the magicians also turned the water to blood. But, as I said, they couldn’t clean it up afterward.

This water plague will happen again in the Tribulation. We read about it in the Book of Revelation. Both the NWO elites and YHVH will do water plagues. In fact, the NWO has already taken control of the waters worldwide and has poisoned them already but they are not now able to clean the water effectively.

YHVH let this plague of water into blood hang around for the period of time that is HIS signature over all creation – 7 days. It was a message to let everyone know who they were messing with! Interestingly, Yeshua was at a 7 day wedding when He showed the Jews who could turn water into wine, the symbol for blood. Some of them got it. Some of them got it but didn’t like it, just like in Egypt.

Now comes frogs in chapter 8. We will see frogs in a different form at the end of days.

Rev 16:13  I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs; 
Rev 16:14  for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty. 

The NWO folks are engaged with frogs again. Frogs symbolize the United Nation’s environmental programs and even an economic development program for third world countries. (Here is a link to an article in BWN that I wrote about this). They use frogs to feed people in poor countries. The Chinese, the dragon, uses frogs for mascots and good luck charms and Bill Gates looks like a frog!.

Back then, the frogs created a stinky nuisance. The magicians could make the frogs come out of the water but they could not make the frogs go back. Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron in Exodus 8:8 to make the frogs return to the water. And this is the separating point between the Egyptians and the Israelites in the first Exodus story. From now on, the sorcerers and magicians will be outclassed!

The Tribulation, though, will have these frogs not only stinking up the world – frogs like the Chinese, The UN and Bill Gates, but they will be different this time. The frogs did not cause war in the first Exodus. They were a sign of impending war, one that would kill not only the Egyptian frog deities but Egypt itself. This time, in the end of days, the frogs will GIVE this sign that the nations are to gather “together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty” (Revelation 16:14).

The frogs plague in Egypt was followed by lice, flies, the killing of Egyptian livestock while the Israelites’ livestock lived, dust that caused boils on man and beast except not upon the people of Israel, hail, locusts, darkness and, finally, the death of the unprotected firstborns. 

Today’s New World Order elites of the United Nations, WHO and WEF will be allowed to do their illusions. And that’s all they can do – illusions. But you see, people believe the illusions! Nonetheless, the illusions are designed to separate YHVH’s people from the Egyptians, from those who do not believe the illusions from those who do.

Now, Pharaoh, all Egypt and the Israelites will see YHVH in action doing His will whether they want it or not. I said earlier that it was in YHVH’s best interest to have war with Egypt. The Israelites at that time, particularly, needed to witness YHVH’s power over Pharaoh and all Egypt. No one wants to follow a leader who can’t prove Himself. Well, YHVH can and did prove Himself, and He will do so again! Believe it!

YHVH’s displays started small before He got serious. Teasers, we call them. Useful wartime mis-directions that turned into outright gangbuster displays of power! The plagues are both punishments and miracles in action, both then and now. No other God or King has ever, from then to now, produced such exploits in war!

In Exodus 5:2, Pharaoh had told Moses he did not know “this YHVH”. “Who is He that I should listen to His voice?”, said Pharaoh. Well, now Pharaoh is about to get a lesson in who YHVH is. The fact is that Pharoah now knows that YHVH is at least his equal in sorcery and magic, and because he now has seen YHVH in action, he hardens his heart still thinking he can outmatch YHVH. Hardening of the heart is itself a plague of earthly Kings.

In YHVH’s Kingdom, sovereignty is everything. Today’s Pharaohs, those within the Egyptian and Babylonian elites of the NWO, will get a taste of YHVH’s sovereignty. For those desiring to enter His Kingdom, it is necessary to surrender to His sovereignty BEFORE all of this happens because those who take the mark of the beast will have their hearts hardened like the first Pharoah’s. They will blaspheme YHVH as if they can do something to prevent His arrival on earth.

Rev 16:9  People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory. 

Job 15:25-27 says: Because [the wicked man] has stretched out his hand against God, and behaves himself proudly against the Almighty; 
Job 15:26  he runs at him with a stiff neck, with the thick shields of his bucklers; 
Job 15:27  because he has covered his face with his fatness, and gathered fat on his thighs. 

In reply: Psa 2:4  He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.

Both the first Pharoah and the end times beast, along with all the people who stick with them, will suffer a fate worse than death. They will not get to inherit Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s promised land. Instead they will be thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is a special punishment created only for those from this time because they have had 3500 years to repent and have refused to. YHVH did not throw the Egyptians into the lake of fire in the first Exodus. They went into the Red Sea. But water doesn’t cleanse rebellion away. It takes fire to do that.

Our fire, for those who know YHVH, is the fire of the Holy Spirit burning away our dross. Those who refuse to surrender to YHVH’s sovereignty will also have their dross burned away in the lake of fire.

Just wait until they see what He does this time. Pharoah saw it and lost his Kingdom. YHVH will bring the NWO’s own plagues on them along with other greater plagues, even the plagues they created that bring down fire from the sky, the missiles and nuclear bombs. Just like the Pharoah of old, these Pharaohs will not stand before the sovereignty of our King, YHVH!

The world is about to see who is sovereign and who is not!

Isa 43:1  But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. 
Isa 43:2  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you. 
Isa 43:3  For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 
Isa 43:4  Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you; therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life. 
Isa 43:5  Don’t be afraid; for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. 
Isa 43:6  I will tell the north, ‘Give them up!’ and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth— 
Isa 43:7  everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.’” 
Isa 43:8  Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears. 
Isa 43:9  Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, “That is true.” 
Isa 43:10  “You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me. 
Isa 43:11  I myself am Yahweh; and besides me there is no savior. 
Isa 43:12  I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown; and there was no strange god among you. Therefore you are my witnesses”, says Yahweh, “and I am God. 
Isa 43:13  Yes, since the day was, I am he; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?” 
Isa 43:14  Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing. 
Isa 43:15  I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.” 
Isa 43:16  Yahweh, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters says: 
Isa 43:17  who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick): 
Isa 43:18  “Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. 
Isa 43:19  Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 
Isa 43:20  The animals of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen, 
Isa 43:21  the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise. 

Isa 54:7  “For a small moment I have forsaken you; but I will gather you with great mercies. 
Isa 54:8  In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer. 

Eze 11:17  “Therefore say, ‘Thus says Yahweh Adonai: “I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”

Eze 20:34  I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.

Eze 36:24  “‘“For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Zep 3:20  At that time I will bring you in, and at that time I will gather you; for I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes, says Yahweh.

Psa 47:2  For YHVH most high is [awesome]; he is a great King over all the earth.

Psa 95:3  For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
