In this Torah Portion, we have YHVH instructions on the final items of the Tabernacle. The incense, perfume, and the laver. We also see the impatience of many of the people. Not everyone was like this. As with any project, we must wait on the Father for the instructions. Sin will always enter into the weak ones. Oh, sure they seem like righteous people until they are tested and have to wait then mischief abounds and the truth comes out as to who they are. What did Yeshua say for us to do until He returns?
Isa 40:31 EHV
(31) But those who wait for the LORD will receive new strength. They will lift up their wings and soar like eagles. They will run and not become weary. They will walk and not become tired.
Far too often we tend to grow weary and restless waiting for YHVH. Then we take matters into our own hands. I know that it is not easy to wait for YHVH to act. He acts in the proper season. Think about it, He always gives us exactly what we need when we need it. Not a second early nor late. Consider the Mana no one lacked, nor did they have too much. Each one gathered exactly what they needed.
It is when we try guessing as to when He will show up and we make our timelines. We then find ourselves heavily invested. When He does not come when we think He should then doubt enters in. Then we get discouraged and our testimony is blown apart.
Luk 19:11-27 EHV
(11) As they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
(12) So he said, “A man of noble birth traveled to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself and then to return.
(13) He called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Conduct business until I return,’ he said to them.
(14) “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to be king over us.’
(15) “When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money. He wanted to find out what they had gained by conducting business.
(16) “The first one came to him and said, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten more minas.’
(17) “He said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you were faithful in a very small matter, you will have authority over ten cities.’
(18) “The second one came and said, ‘Master, your mina has produced five more minas.’
(19) “So he said to him, ‘You will be over five cities.’
(20) “And another one came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina that I laid away in a piece of cloth.
(21) For I was afraid of you, since you are a demanding man. You take what you did not deposit and reap what you did not sow.’
(22) “He said to him, ‘You wicked servant, I will judge you with your own words! You knew that I am a demanding man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.
(23) Then why did you not put my money in the bank? Then, when I returned, I could have collected it with interest!’
(24) “He said to those standing there, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’
(25) “But they said to him, ‘Master, he already has ten minas!’
(26) “ ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
(27) Now as for those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me.’ ”
Today we say the same thing. They say that they did not vote for Him to be their leader. and that they will not follow His laws. Rather they trade in His laws, which are few by comparison, for their laws, which they could never follow for they are millions. We do this to enslave others under us and make their lives miserable.
Mat 24:43-51 EHV
(43) But understand this: If the master of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.
(44) You also need to be ready for this reason: The Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him.
(45) “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
(46) Blessed is that servant whom his master finds doing this when he returns.
(47) Amen I tell you: He will put him in charge of all that he has.
(48) But if that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
(49) and he begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards,
(50) the master of that servant will return on a day when he does not expect it and at an hour he does not know.
(51) The master will cut him in two and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Mat 25:1-13 EHV
(1) “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
(2) Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
(3) When the foolish ones took their lamps, they did not take any oil with them;
(4) but the wise took oil in their containers with their lamps.
(5) While the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
(6) But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
(7) Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps.
(8) The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’
(9) But the wise answered, ‘No, there may not be enough for us and for you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
(10) But while they were away buying oil, the bridegroom came. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.
(11) Later, the other virgins also came and said, ‘Lord, Lord, let us in.’
(12) But he answered, ‘Amen I tell you: I do not know you.’
(13) Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
When we are waiting on YHVH. Do we become impatient with Him? When He does not come, and we think He delays. Because He does not come when we think He should be here. We must be careful when we are waiting on Him that we keep busy with our Father’s work.
2Pe 3:1-13 EHV
(1) Dear friends, this is now the second letter that I have written to you. I wrote both of them to stir up your sincere mind with a reminder
(2) for you to remember the words spoken earlier by the holy prophets and the command of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.
(3) First, know this: In the last days scoffers will come with their mocking, following their own lusts.
(4) They will say, “Where is this promised coming of his? For from the time that our fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have from the beginning of the creation.”
(5) You see, what they are intentionally forgetting is that the heavens came into existence long ago by the word of God and that the earth came together out of the water and between the waters.
(6) Through these waters the former world perished, when it was flooded with water.
(7) And now, by that same word, the heavens and earth have been stored up for fire, since they are being kept until the day of judgment and the destruction of the ungodly.
(8) But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: For the Lord, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
(9) The Lord is not slow to do what he promised, as some consider slowness. Instead, he is patient for your sakes, not wanting anyone to perish, but all to come to repentance.
(10) But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will pass away with a roar, the elements will be dissolved as they burn with great heat, and the earth and what was done on it will be burned up.
(11) Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed, what kind of people ought you to be, living in holiness and godliness,
(12) as you look forward to and hasten the coming of the day of God? That day will cause the heavens to be set on fire and destroyed, and the elements to melt as they burn with great heat.
(13) But according to his promise we look forward to new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
In our waiting and preparing for the bride. We must be wise so that we are not caught off guard. We must maintain our testimony and be vigilant so that we do not make bad decisions and make only agreements with those whom we have gone before YHVH and asked if this is His will.
Exo 34:12 EHV
(12) Be careful that you do not make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land to which you are going, or it will be a trap in your midst.
Jos 9:3-18 EHV
(3) However, when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and to Ai,
(4) they responded by coming up with a clever scheme: They gathered their provisions as if they were going on a trip. They loaded worn-out sacks on their donkeys and wineskins that were worn-out, split, and mended.
(5) They put worn-out, patched sandals on their feet, and they put on worn-out clothing. All the bread in their provisions was dried out. It had begun to crumble.
(6) Then they came to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal and told him and the men of Israel, “We have come from a land far away. So now, make a treaty with us.”
(7) The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”
(8) They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.” So Joshua said to them, “Who are you, and where do you come from?”
(9) They said to him, “Because of the Name of the LORD your God, your servants have come from a land very far away. For we heard the report about him and all that he did in Egypt
(10) and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were in the area east of the Jordan—to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan, who was in Ashtaroth.
(11) Our elders and all the inhabitants of our land said to us, ‘Take in your hand provisions for the journey and go to meet them. You should say to them, “We are your servants, so now make a treaty with us.” ’
(12) This bread of ours was hot when we packed for the trip at our houses on the day we set out to come to you. Now, look, it is dried out and has become crumbs!
(13) The wineskins were new when we filled them. Look, they have burst! Look at our clothing and our sandals. They wore out because of the great length of the journey.”
(14) Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions, but they did not seek the word of the LORD.
(15) So Joshua made peace with them. He made a treaty with them to let them live, and the leaders of the community swore an oath to them.
(16) But three days after they had made the treaty with them, the Israelites heard that they were their neighbors, that is, that they were living among them.
(17) So the people of Israel set out and came to the Gibeonites’ cities on the third day. Their cities were Gibeon, Kephirah, Be’eroth, and Kiriath Jearim.
(18) But the people of Israel did not attack them because the leaders of the congregation had sworn an oath to them by the LORD, the God of Israel. So the whole community grumbled against the leaders.
