Jer 1:11-12 Moreover the word of YHVH came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, Master I see a branch of an almond tree. Then said YHVH to me, You have seen well: for I will hasten My word to perform it.
Jeremiah Study – Part 2: Jeremiah and the Last Kings of Israel
The Book of Jeremiah forms the basis of the understanding of the Gospel of John and Paul’s letters in the New Testament as a whole. Jeremiah Study – History on the Kings – Part 1 Lesson 5
To make matters worse, Ahaz burned his children and became guilty of child sacrifice. So, Yahweh raised up the Edomites and the Philistines and they started to attack the southern cities of Judah. 2Kings 17:18 records that Judah was the only tribe left.
